Churchill’s Spy School

Missed this program when it aired on May 17 on History Channel during Spy Week. Sounds very interesting, a behind the scenes look at a Special Operations Executive school in Britain where they trained good ol’ spies. Love this sentence: “involved in the day to day practical training of Britain’s secret agents, training that armed them with ‘highly undesirable skills’ which they employed behind enemy lines.”
Love those three words the most — highly undesirable skills. Now that sounds like the title of a book, possibly a movie… Watch the clip and you’ll hear some other great words like: “some people called it the ministry of ungentlemanly warfare.” Man, that sounds like an even better title: THE MINISTRY of UNGENTLEMANLY WARFARE. Don’t know why, but it has a Tarantino ring to it.
